Pet Amber Alert

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of LostDogHQ for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I just found out about a new system called the Pet Amber Alert. We cannot put a price on our beloved pets, but getting the word out is crucial should your dog or cat be missing!! Pet Amber is the Number ONE Lost Pet Recovery System Nationwide!

There are three different levels of alert that you may sign up for...tiered in price. Follow the link and you will see what is available at each price range!!lost dog
1. The Lost Dog that is recovered by a citizen.
2. The Roaming Dog at large.
3. The Stolen Dog as revenge to cause the pet owner distress.
4. The Missing Dog that meets with an accident.
5. The Lost Dog that meets with a predator.

6.) The Missing Dog that is experiencing confusion, illness, or pain.
7.) The Lost Dog that is accidentally trapped.
8.) The Missing Dog that is intentionally displaced.
9.) The Lost Dog that is accidentally transported.

There is much more information to be found here:pet detective

You can also find alot more useful info at this link!!

We just can't put a price on our furry friends...at least I can't...and I suspect anyone reading this article can't either.

Stand UP For Family!!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of American Family Insurance for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I know that I have SOME blog readers who are younger than I am...but I also have some that are around my age...do you remember those GREAT times you had as a kid...when you'd leave the house in the morning and stay outside ALL DAY long...and only head home when you thought it must be getting time for dinner?? We used to play "Kick the Can" for hours on end. Or, we'd hike into the woods and just explore....stuff...nothing in particular...build a tree fort! There were times we'd get a regular mayo jar out of the cupboard and poke holes in the lid...catch lightning bugs!

That WAS the entertainment of the day folks. At least growing up in the midwest...we had plenty to do...we had IMAGINATION. I think that is missing from today's world. The kids today have absolutely no idea how to amuse themselves without their video games. Just try taking the cell phone away from a teenager. They will scream! They just will NOT know what to do with themselves.

I think part of the American Family is falling apart. This is just my opinion, but I would be willing to bet that there are others out there who agree with me. American Family InsuranceAmFam is sponsoring a program called Stand Up for Family. American Family Insurance Personally I think Bill Bellamy is hilarious! Check it out here!!Stand Up For FamilyStand Up For Family

These videos demonstrate what is missing in today's world!! Whatever happened to spending the day at a state park...having a picnic with your family? It doesn't seem to happen as much anymore. We used to have dinner together as a family every single night. At the very same kitchen table. Nowadays...that doesn't happen so much!!

I think what American Family Insurance is doing is a valiant effort and one that should be commended!!

These are the kind of videos your entire family can watch together! Take some time and watch them. You will be glad you did!!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Puppies vs. Babies for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
It seems like everywhere I turn I see a contest about Cutest Baby!  There are ALOT of Mom Blogs out there...but once the kids move on...many of us feel that our pets take over and become pseudo-children...I even have GRAND-DOGS!!  My kids decided to have dogs instead of kids.  That's ok by me!!  So, in the scheme of things...in a contest where I must choose between Cutest Puppy and Cutest Baby...guess what I'm going to choose??  You guessed right...PUPPY!!!
I totally understand that for each and every mother out there, their baby is going to be the cutest!!  And for each and every new puppy owner, their puppy is going to be the cutest!!!

It's a SPRINT! Not a Marathon...

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Sprint for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Sprint for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
As you all know I am a HUGE fan of Sprint and have been a loyal customer for over eleven years.  The HTC EVO is one fabulous phone with all kinds of options!!

Lots of people debate on whether or not they really need Total Equipment Protection or TEP.  Well...here's the deal.  TEP cost only $8.00 a MONTH. The Protection App included with TEP at no additional cost gives you the ability to locate a misplaced phone with an audible alarm, find your phone on a map using network integrated GPS technology, remotely lock your missing phone, as well as wirelessly sync, manage, and restore your contacts!!  I have BEEN there!!!  How annoying is it when you LOSE your contacts???  It is a total pain to try to re-create your contact list.  I usually just give up!  Now...with this genius application...the work is done for you!!  Sprint Total Equipment Protection App
Should you need to file a claim, a deductible of either $50 or $100 is required for approved claims.  Some people might think the deductible is unnecessary, do you realize that the non-contract price of that EVO is $449??  Even the LG Optimus you thought was free -- $299 is the full retail price!!  Now that deductible is starting to sound pretty good!!  Check out this video!!
Sprint TEP customers can be up and running in just a few minutes at no additional cost!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…
To enroll or learn more, please visit http://www.tepenroll.com
Not only is it an annoyance to lose our contact information these days, it is also a REAL issue when we also have to worry about others stealing our personal information!!
I would like to stress the importance of checking out this offer NOW vs. waiting til you have more time...this is a limited open enrollment!!  Customers that did not take advantage of TEP within 30 days of activating their phone are in luck. Sprint is holding an Open Enrollment from August 1-30, 2011.

This means any Sprint customer can add the Total Equipment Protection feature!!  How cool is that??

In addition to the new App features, TEP provides Sprint customers with a quick and convenient way to receive a replacement if their phone is ever lost, stolen, damaged or malfunctions after the warranty expires. It is SUMMER!  How much time are you spending by a pool or a lake...it doesn't take much for that phone to take a little DIP in the water...now does it??

Do yourself a favor and ADD this protection NOW!!!  Before it's too late!!  I think you will LOVE it!!
